Homemade stuffing with garlic

    Perfect for Sunday dinners! This versatile homemade stuffing can be used with dried or fresh herbs depending on what you have in stock and can be cooked in a baking dish or rolled into balls.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
    • 2 onions, chopped
    • 2 tablespoons dried sage
    • 1 teaspoon garlic granules
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
    • 1 teaspoon butter
    • 90g dried breadcrumbs
    • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease a baking dish.
    2. Warm the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onions and cook and stir for a few minutes until soft. Add the sage, garlic and pepper, butter and stir.
    3. Remove the onions from the heat and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the breadcrumbs and egg and mix with the hands until well combined.
    4. Spoon into the prepared baking dish and spread out with the back of a spoon, or roll into balls and arrange in the prepared baking dish.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through. Remove from the oven and serve.
