Soft bread machine rolls

    An absolutely simple and quick bread roll that gives perfect results every time. Ideal for stuffing with your favourite sandwich fillings.

    Makes: 7 bread rolls

    • 350g stong bread flour
    • 40g powdered milk
    • 45g caster sugar
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 (7g) sachet active dried yeast
    • 250ml warm water
    • 1 squirt Maggi® sauce or sesame seed oil
    • 1 handful seeds, of your choice

    1. Chuck it all in the bread machine in order above and run on dough cycle.
    2. Remove from the bread machine and use a knife to cut into 6 or 7 pieces, form into rolls, place on a lightly greased baking tray and cover with a tea towel.
    3. Place tray on top of oven (not in it!) whilst you preheat it and the bread increases in size, about 20 to 30 minutes.
    4. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Remove the tea towel from the rolls.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes until risen and golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool (don't skip this step, they are much better after cooling for a short time).
