About this recipe: Super cute Easter Chick Oreo® Pops. Great NO BAKE fun for the Easter weekend. Ideal for making with children.

Makes: 10 Easter chick pops

  • 1 portion orange fondant (e.g. Renshaw)
  • 1 packet Oreo® biscuits
  • 1 bag yellow candy melts (e.g. Wilton)
  • yellow shimmer sprinkles (optional)
  • 20 googly eyes or a black icing writer

  1. Dust a non stick mat with icing sugar. Roll out a small amount of orange fondant and cut 4 flowers per chick for the wings and feet. Roll a small ball and pinch the top to make a small coned shaped beak, 1 per chick pop needed.
  2. Halve the Oreos® using a sharp knife (parents should do this) and melt the candy melts in a double boiler for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Dip the ends of 10 cake pop sticks in the melted candy melts and put them in the centre of each Oreo® and pop the top biscuit back on top. Let set for around 5 minutes.
  4. Take your Oreo® pops and dunk them in the melted candy melts. Top immediately with the shimmer sprinkles whilst still soft. Add the googly eyes, wings, feet and beak.
  5. Set aside for 5 to 10 minutes to allow to harden (you can also place in the freezer to speed up the setting process). Eat!
