Delicious, creamy homemade ranch dressing

6 people made this

About this recipe: This ranch dressing can be made in 5 minutes and is deliciously creamy and fresh. It gives you the freedom to control your ingredients and make it as runny or creamy as you like! We now make this as a dip paired with potato wedges and veggie sticks. A family favourite!

Serves: 8

  • 4 spring onions
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 180g mayonnaise
  • 170ml soured cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 180ml milk

Prep:10min  ›  Extra time:10min chilling  ›  Ready in:20min

  1. Put the spring onions, garlic, parsley and olive oil into a food processor and ‘whiz’ until you have the desired consistency. I left the parsley a bit bigger simply to look nice in the dressing!
  2. Either add the rest of the ingredients into the processor or add it to the food mixer with the whisk attachment and combine. Transfer to a serving dish then let the flavours come together in the fridge for at least 10 minutes before serving.

I find this dressing can get runny quite quickly so I recommend using it within at least 2 days of making.
