About this recipe: I made this to use up some oddments of jam (strawberry and damson jelly) and it is now a favourite. Very adaptable as you can use whichever jams or preserves are available. It is made with just a very few store cupboard ingredients, but tastes a real treat. The higher the percentage of butter to margarine, the richer the flavour. I use half butter and half margarine.
