Chocolate and banana smoothie

    10 min

The sweetness of the bananas in this smoothie means you don't need to add any sugar to sweeten the cocoa powder. My kids love this smoothie.

Most all smoothies can be salvaged. This one is no exception. However, the introduction says it needs no sweetener because the banana sweetens it enough. I do not agree. That much banana just makes the banana taste very strong and doesn't allow the peanut butter flavor to come through. I gave this 2 stars (Could be better) because it needs a little sweetener and less banana. Do that and this will be a smoothie that I will make again.  -  14 Oct 2015

It is my first time doing it and I really liked it. I don’t like bananas, so instead I added an egg and it gave the milkshake a little more of texture. For next time though, I’m taking out the ice. I think the ice is an unnecessary extra.  -  26 Feb 2018  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

I have made this several times, & it is really good. It is not too sweet and tastes almost like dark chocolate. I left out the ice and it still gas great texture & flavor  -  12 Feb 2018  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
