About this recipe: In celebration of Thanksgiving, Head Bartender at Gleneagles Hotel, Cameron Johnston, has created a very special Forbidden fruit cocktail. Using locally sourced apple juice, the whisky based cocktail is beautifully warming and perfect for autumn time.

Makes: 1 cocktail

  • 50ml Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 20ml cinnamon syrup
  • 10ml Fernet Branca
  • 20ml Carse O'Gowrie apple juice

Prep:5min  ›  Ready in:5min 

  1. Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into a tumbler glass filled with fresh crushed ice.
  3. Garnish with mint, cinnamon stick, raspberry and a sprinkling of icing sugar.
