    About this recipe: Your favourite Indian curry has never been so easy, thanks to this slow cooker recipe! Try it once and you'll make it time and again.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 675g skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut in bite-sized pieces
    • 400ml tomato passata
    • 235ml plain yogurt
    • 1 jalapeno chilli pepper, seeded and minced
    • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
    • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
    • 2 teaspoons garam masala
    • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
    • 2 teaspoons paprika
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
    • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
    • 235ml double cream
    • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander
    • 1 lemon, juiced

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:6hr  ›  Ready in:6hr15min 

    1. Stir chicken, tomato passata, yogurt, jalapeno pepper, ginger, cumin, garam masala, black pepper, paprika, garlic, cinnamon, ground coriander and salt together in a slow cooker.
    2. Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. Stir cream, fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice into chicken mixture during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

    sorry but made this tonight and I was very disappointed. the yoghurt curdled and the taste was very bland which surprised me with the amount of spices added.  -  09 Nov 2016

    at first i was going to give this four stars and bf asked why.. i told him that it was good but it didn't wow me.. i served his plate first (over plain white rice) and forgot the cilantro, lemon, and left out the cream.. the cilantro was the key.. i added some on my finished plate and that made all the difference.. i had cooked some cauliflower in the residual gravy and added it to my plate .. five stars it is.. i used thighs for the breasts.. two 8 oz cans of tomato sauce.. and greek yogurt for the plain.. i usually use Easy Garam Masala from this site when it's called for.. but unfortunately i was out of cardamom so i just used the recipe minus the cardamom.. bf said this reminded him of spanish rice but i think it's b/c of the cumin, jalapeno, garlic and tomato sauce.. either way we really enjoyed this.. ty so much for the recipe  -  16 Mar 2015  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
