About this recipe: This is a warming meal and gets the family to the table! Serve just by itself or with some veggies on the side for a complete meal.

Serves: 6 

  • cooking spray
  • 200g dried pasta, of your choice (e.g. spaghetti)
  • 6 sausages
  • 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 500ml vegetable stock
  • 150g frozen peas
  • 50g half fat mature vegetarian cheese, grated

  1. Preheat oven to 200 C / 180 C fan / Gas 6 and place a baking tray on the centre shelf. Spray a 23cm square baking dish with the cooking spray.
  2. Roughly break up the spaghetti into the dish and add the sausages. Combine the chopped tomatoes, mixed herbs, smoked paprika, ketchup and stock. Season and pour over the spaghetti and mix well. Cover the dish tightly with foil.
  3. Place the dish on the preheated tray and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the spaghetti is almost tender, or al dente. Remove the foil, stir in the peas and then scatter the cheese on the top.
  4. Bake uncovered for final 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve hot.


If your a vegetarian swap the sausages for Quorn ® or Linda McCartney ® sausages.
