Chocolate cake in a mug

    This is a five minute recipe which is perfect to snack on! Serve with a dollop of custard or ice cream as an extra treat.

    • 4 tablespoons plain flour
    • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 1 egg
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 3 tablespoons melted butter

    1. Add the dry ingredients to a large microwave-safe mug. Mix well. Crack an egg into a separate bowl and add to the mixture. Mix until well combined. Add the milk and melted butter and mix again.
    2. Microwave the cake for 3 minutes (1000w). Wait until the cake stops rising and sets in the mug. Remove from the microwave and serve.
