225g butter, melted
600g caster sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
190g plain flour
85g cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
170g dark chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease a 23x30cm baking tin.
Combine the melted butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each, until thoroughly blended.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder and salt into a bowl. Gradually stir flour mixture into the egg mixture until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spread the brownie mixture evenly into the prepared baking tin.
Bake in preheated oven until a skewer inserted into the centre of the pan comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Remove brownies, and cool them in the tin on a cooling rack before slicing into squares.
