Sirloin steak stir fry

    My last Irish grass fed steak so decided to make a quick tasty stir fry. Ideal for midweek suppers, this recipe is ready in about 30 minutes.

    Serves: 1 

    • 170g (6 oz) sirloin steak
    • 100g (3 1/2 oz) red onion, chopped
    • 100g (3 1/2 oz) mushrooms, chopped
    • 100g (3 1/2 oz) mixed pepper, seeded and chopped
    • 3 to 5 sprays garlic spray oil
    • 3 to 5 sprays butter spray oil
    • 1 to 2 pinches ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon light soya sauce
    • 1 teaspoon dark soya sauce

    1. Trim steak of all fat and dice up or cut in to strips. Fry up the steak with garlic spray oil in a frying pan over a medium heat (don't go mental with cooking as you are only looking to basically cook the outside and give a nice colour).
    2. Add veg and cook with butter oil and cook together until the veggies reach your desired texture (I don't like crunchy) and add soya sauce near the end to finish cooking. Serve.
