About this recipe:
Is this too easy? Melt a bar of Aldi Choceur® dark chocolate with whole hazelnuts in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Make simple pancakes. Spread the melted chocolate and nuts onto the pancakes, roll and pour over double cream. Don't blame me if you love them too much!
110g plain flour
1 pinch salt
1 to 2 knobs butter
Choceur® chocolate, broken into pieces
double cream, to serve
20 min › Ready in:
Mix the eggs, flour, milk, water and salt together in the order listed above until a smooth batter forms. (See tip)
Melt a little butter on hot flat based pancake pan and pour in the pancake mix (a half-ladle full at a time for each pancake), flip when the base is easy to lift (usually about a minute) and repeat.
At the same time melt the broken pieces of Choceur chocolate and nut in a bowl over barely simmering water in a pan.
Spread the melted chocolate and nuts onto each pancake, roll and pour over some double cream. Pancakes
Pancake batter benefits from time to rest before cooking. If possible, place the pancake batter in the fridge for at least 30 minutes prior to cooking.
