About this recipe: Turmeric is one of my favourite super foods. It also adds colour and flavour to this dairy-free smoothie made with coconut milk, banana, pineapple and fresh ginger.


Serves: 2 

  • 2 frozen bananas, cut into small chunks
  • 500g frozen pineapple chunks
  • 240ml fresh orange juice
  • 240ml coconut milk
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 1 (5cm) piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ice cubes as desired

  1. Blend bananas, pineapple, orange juice, coconut milk, lime juice, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg and ice cubes together in a blender until smooth.
