My quick and easy chilli

    This is a recipe I got 15 years ago from a friend and have adapted it slightly to get a wonderful tangy hot chilli

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 tablespoons rapeseed oil
    • 2 onions, chopped
    • 200g sliced mushrooms
    • 750g beef mince
    • 1 jar Old El Paso® chilli sauce
    • 1 tin Heinz® baked beans
    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chilli
    • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
    • 2 heaped dessertspoons sugar
    • Amoy® hot sweet chilli sauce, to taste

    1. Heat the rapeseed oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the mushroom and onion and cover and cook till softened.
    2. Uncover, add the mince and cook till browned.
    3. Add all the other ingredients to the pan and stir. Cook on a low heat for 1 hour. Serve in a bowl with crusty bread.


    I put baked beans in it but you can add kidney beans if you like them.
