Berrylicious frozen sangria slush

    5 min

This boozy, fruity frozen sangria is an adult version of those bright-coloured slushies. This is so refreshing on a hot summer night. Cheers!

    2 people made this

    Serves: 2

    • 240ml red wine
    • 240g ice cubes, crushed
    • 50g frozen blueberries
    • 50g fresh raspberries
    • 50g frozen strawberries
    • 60ml orange-flavoured liqueur or brandy
    • 1/2 orange, juiced
    • 1 tablespoon sugar, or more to taste

    Prep:5min  ›  Ready in:5min

    1. Combine red wine, ice cubes, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, liqueur, orange juice and sugar in a blender; process until smooth. Serve immediately or freeze.

The alcohol content keeps the mixture from freezing hard. The ice crystals melt pretty quickly so you can break it up and serve it in glasses, with or without spoons to scoop up the boozy slush.

So easy to make. Everyone loved it. Not too sweet - which I find a lot of Sangria.  -  29 Jun 2015  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

Made these last night. Didn't have orange liqueur so I added a little extra sugar. They were fabulous. Everyone loved them. Can't wait to make them again!  -  24 Aug 2016  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

Subbed Grey Goose for the orange liqueur, and that worked fine. Also, used a moderately dry Cabernet Sauvignon, didn't add sugar, used frozen concentrate instead of juice... Maybe one day I'll actually make a recipe as specified, but in the meantime, this one was a good guideline to a pleasant drink.  -  10 Jul 2016  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
