About this recipe: For older babies who have been enjoying solids for a few months already, this little dish is a treat. Parsnips, carrots and sweet potato combine with a little stock for a nutritional powerhouse.
To freeze for later: fill an ice cube tray with the puree. Freeze for at least 2 hours, till solid. Remove cubes from tray and place in a freezer bag. To defrost, place in microwave for 30 seconds, or as needed.
For older babies, 7 months and up, you can start to introduce some seasoning. The key is to start with just a bit and see what your baby likes. You could add a pinch of ground nutmeg or ginger to this recipe, for example. Avoid salt till your baby is 1 year old.
