Low carb Greek lamb burgers

    Gluten free and low carb. Tasty dish which can be fried or baked! These lamb burgers are flavoured with feta cheese, cumin, mint and paprika. Oregano is also a nice addition.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 4 burgers

    • 500g lamb mince
    • 1 to 2 spring onions, finely chopped
    • 200g crumbled feta cheese
    • 1 small egg, beaten
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon dried mint
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • salt to taste

    Method

    1. If baking, preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
    3. Split the mixture into 4, and form into 4 burgers.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on thickness. Alternatively, pan fry the burgers in a frying pan over medium high heat for about 6 minutes per side, or till no longer pink in the centre.
