This is a popular seafood starter in Brazil, often served at the bars near the ocean. Typically, it is served in crab shells but you can use small, shallow ramekins instead.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
500g soft crab meat
1/2 bunch fresh coriander, chopped
1/2 bunch spring onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, blended
4 tablespoons coconut milk
salt and pepper, to taste
lime wedges for serving

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat; stir in garlic and onion and cook until soft. Add crab meat, coriander, spring onions, tomatoes and coconut milk; simmer for 15 minutes or until the liquid reduces down (without drying out). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Divide mix into crab shells or ramekins. Serve hot with a lime wedge on the side.
