About this recipe: Blend banana and mango with chia seeds, flaxseeds and romaine lettuce to make this energising vegan smoothie.

  • 1 mango, chopped, or more to taste
  • 1 banana, sliced, or more to taste
  • 180ml cold water, or as needed
  • 30g romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  1. Blend mango, banana, water, lettuce, ice and flaxseeds together in a blender until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add chia seeds to mango mixture and stir. Let sit until smoothie thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.
