    About this recipe: Make your own tempura batter with these 3 simple ingredients. Coat your favourite fish or vegetables and deep-fry into light and crispy finger food.

    Serves: 6 

    • 2 egg whites
    • 125g plain flour
    • 160ml cold water

    1. Beat egg whites in a bowl until frothy. Fold flour and cold water into egg whites until batter is just barely mixed.
    2. Coat vegetables, fish or thin slices of beef or chicken with cornflour, then dip into tempura batter and fry in hot oil until light golden brown and crispy.
