    About this recipe: Make a chocolate sauce topping that goes hard the instant it hits ice cream. It is quick and easy to make using 2 simple ingredients: chocolate and coconut oil. Get cracking!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 32 

    • 335g dark chocolate chips
    • 160ml coconut oil

    Method

    1. Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl; heat in microwave in 30-second intervals, mixing well each time, until mixture is smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. It takes about 1 minute of stirring until they fully mix together. Store at room temperature in an air-tight container.

    Note:

    You can use any oil that has NO flavour or has a flavour that is compatible with chocolate and your ice cream - rapeseed will work ok but the coconut oil makes it a tad crunchier! Add more oil for a thinner, crispier chocolate shell and add less for a thicker harder shell.
