Reduced to 2 TBS of baking powder. Light & Crispy! Amazing fish tacos! - 11 Aug 2017 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
This is a pretty thick batter.... its is like a thin layer of crispy bread on your fish... I cut the baking powder to 1.5 tbsp and added salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and old bay seasoning. I didn't add enough flavor in the beginning but ended up adding more after I tried it on a piece of fish. It was really good, but a little too thick for our liking. My husband wanted to test out 2 methods so he used store bought batter called New Orleans Style fish fry batter (I don't know if its only sold in La) but with that you dip it in milk first and then used the dry batter... so we used about 1/4 can of beer to thin out my batter and then dipped it in the New Orleans style dry batter and that ended up being our favorite. =) - 10 Jul 2017 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
