Unbelievable fish batter

    • 120ml milk
    • 120ml water
    • 55g baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt

    1. Whisk together the flour, milk, water, baking powder and salt in a bowl until smooth. Use to batter your pieces of fish before deep-frying.

    I have made it 4 times now. It is ok. Puffed up a lot. The taste was ok. I could definitely taste the baking powder which detracted from the overall experience. The puffiness definitely adds to the texture.  -  17 Oct 2017  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    Very good. I did like other people and only used 2tbs of the baking powder. I added pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to give it some flavor. The batter was very tasty, crispy and fluffy.
