This is my twist on the traditional dish, when my family like something different.
Only if necessary, thicken the dish as the very end with a mixture of 1 teaspoon cornflour and 1 teaspoon water.
I didn't fancy the idea of leeks and onions so used green beans instead, added some mushrooms I had left over and the result was absolutely gorgeous. Family loved it. In fact, I'm making it again tonight, it was that good. - 23 Nov 2011
