    About this recipe: Cranberry sauce sweetened with honey and pears is a tasty alternative to the traditional cranberry sauce.

    Serves: 10 

    • 300ml honey, or to taste
    • 120ml good quality pure apple juice
    • 120ml water
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 4 pears - peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
    • 450g cranberries

    1. Combine honey, apple cider, water, lemon juice and cinnamon stick in a saucepan; bring to the boil. Lower heat to medium and simmer, stirring frequently, until smooth, about 5 minutes. Add pears and cranberries and return to the boil; reduce heat to medium and simmer until sauce is thickened, 12 to 15 minutes. Refrigerate until chilled and flavours have blended, at least 2 hours.
