Cheese twists

    Beautifully cheesy and comforting when warm. These easy cheese twists are made with three types of cheese and puff pastry and only require a cup to measure out the cheese.

    Makes: 6 -8 cheese twists

    • 1 (375g) packet puff pastry
    • 120g grated cheddar cheese, about 1 cup
    • 60g Gruyere or Red Leicester cheese. about 1/2 cup
    • 1 (300g) packet full fat cream cheese, at room temperature
    • milk for brushing

    1. Heat the oven to 200 C / 180 C fan / Gas 6.
    2. Cut the block of puff pastry lengthways into 6 to 8 equal strips.
    3. In a large mixing bowl add the three cheeses together and stir until combined.
    4. On a floured surface roll out each strip lengthways until it's about 3-5ml thick
    5. Spoon the cheese mixture on to one half of each of the pastry strips.
    6. Fold the plain half of the pastry strips over the cheesy half.
    7. Hold each end of the pastry strip in your hands and twist a couple of times. Brush with a little milk.
    8. Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven until golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
