    About this recipe: Brussels sprouts and bacon are pan-fried until caramelised then glazed with balsamic vinegar in this quick and easy 5-ingredient side dish.

    Serves: 8 

    • 900g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
    • 6 slices bacon, or more to taste, thinly sliced
    • salt and ground black pepper to taste
    • 160ml reduced balsamic vinegar, divided

    1. Combine sprouts and bacon in a cast iron pan; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sprouts start to brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Drizzle 120ml of balsamic vinegar on top.
    2. Transfer sprouts and bacon to a serving dish; drizzle remaining balsamic vinegar on top.


    You can also roast the sprouts at 220 C for 20 to 30 minutes.
