About this recipe:
Easy to make, creamy and delicious
500g quark (or cream cheese)
1 tsp flour
1 pinch of salt
- Make a pie crust: mix the first 4 ingredients (egg, flour, butter, sugar) and knead it into a dough. Flatten the dough and cover the base and sides of a large springform cake tin
- Mix the egg yolk and the sugar, then add almond and vanilla extract and butter (room temperature), last add flour and quark
- Beat the egg whites until they are frothy and whipped cream like, slowly stir in the egg and quark batter and pour it on the unbaked crust
- Bake at 180-200 degrees for 1 hour. If the top gets brown cover it with baking parchment to keep it from getting too dark. Open the oven a little bit and let the cake slowly cool down in the oven.
Add fruit if you want, blueberries, cherries, etc.
