About this recipe: My grandma first made these biscotti when she was 12. They're chocolate biscotti studded with both white and plain chocolate chips.

    1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in cocoa and baking powder. Beat for 2 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
    2. Stir in the flour by hand. Mix in white chocolate and chocolate chips. Cover dough and chill for about 10 minutes.
    3. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
    4. Divide dough into two parts and roll each part into a 23cm long log. Place logs on lightly greased baking tray about 10cm apart. Flatten slightly.
    5. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on a tray for 5 minutes, and then carefully transfer to a wire rack to cool for 1 hour.
    6. Preheat the oven to 160 C / Gas 2-3.
    7. Cut each cooled loaf into 2cm wide diagonal slices. Place slices on an ungreased baking tray and put in oven for 9 minutes.
    8. Turn biscuits over and bake for 7 to 9 minutes.
    9. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
