Bourbon barbecue marinade

This marinade is perfect for using as a glaze for barbecued meat, or as a beef jerky base. It's the perfect combination of sweet and barbecue flavours.

Ingredients
Makes: 425 ml marinade, approximately
- 180ml honey
- 125ml bourbon whiskey
- 60g butter
- 1 splash vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 pinch paprika

- Put all the ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil whist stirring.
- Simmer the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes whilst stirring to boil off any alcohol.
- Leave to cool and pour over your meat to marinade.
