It's mainly packets to make this, but if you're late back from work and have to cook for the family, or unexpected guests, it's a lifesaver. It's also good low-calorie food. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Put the fish and the milk in a wide, deep pan and bring to the boil. Simmer very gently until the fish falls apart.
Add the sweetcorn and the onions to the fish and stir in. Take the pan off the heat and immediately stir in the sauce mix. Then stir in the instant mash gradually until you get a sloppy mix.
Return to the hob over the lowest possible heat. Warm through for a few minutes before serving for the mash to absorb all the liquid. Add a little more mash or liquid to get the correct consistency.
Serve it up with peas and carrots, or broccoli, or veg of choice.
You can add other ingredients (hard-boiled eggs, peas, oats, etc.) to make it slightly different each time. Adding oat bran is a good way to smuggle in oats and fibre. Leftovers go well with toast and more sauce - if you have any leftovers.
