Easy Spag Bol

    I'm not a great cook so when my friend suggested i try this rather than using a jar i thought id give it a go! its really tasty and easy to make and my toddler loves it too, so an all round winner.

    • 500 grams mince
    • 200 grams lardons
    • 1 Onion
    • 2 Cloves Garlic
    • 1 tin tomatoes with herbs
    • 500 gram Passata or strained tomatoes
    • 2 splashes of Balsamic Vinegar
    • 2 teaspoon oregano
    • 2 teaspoon basil
    • 2 Sundried tomatoes whizzed in a food processor
    • pepper to taste


    1. Fry onion and add the garlic and lardons
    2. Add herbs and a grind of pepper, add mince and cook until brown
    3. Add chopped tomatoes, passata and sundried tomatoes
    4. Add a couple of splashes of balsamic and more herbs if you wish
    5. Stir and lower to simmer until thickened


    Serve with steaming spaghetti and garlic bread. perfect
