Pasta bake with sausage in a tomato base

    A recipe I randomly threw together! Fairly quick and easy, very tasty for all the family.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 400g pasta (your choice)
    • 8 cumberland sausages (or your choice!)
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 1 green pepper, chopped
    • 1 carton passata
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 pinch mild chilli powder
    • 150 to 200g grated cheese (a few handfuls)

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Cook your pasta according to instructions on the packet.
    2. Whilst that's cooking, chop sausages into small pieces and fry until browned. Add pepper and onions, and fry until softened, then add passata, garlic and chilli powder. Add 2 handfuls of grated cheese and stir until melted.
    3. Drain pasta, then add to sausage mix.
    4. Transfer to casserole dish, sprinkle a handful of grated cheese over the top then put in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 C / Gas 4.
