Lazy scrambled eggs

    You want scrambled eggs, but you're in a hurry and don't want to do much washing up. Then take a look at our speedy recipe!

    Serves: 1 

    • 2 eggs
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 pinch black pepper
    • 1 knob butter
    • 40ml milk

    1. Crack the eggs into a microwave-safe bowl or mug, mix together until the yolks have split and mixed with the whites. Add milk, butter, salt and pepper. Whisk well.
    2. Place in the microwave and cook for 1 minute on maximum power, then remove and stir. Place back in the microwave and cook for 1 more minute and stir.
    3. Check how the egg looks, if it's beginning to look like scrambled eggs but there is still some eggy wetness, cook it until the eggy wetness is gone by stirring and microwaving for another 30 seconds.
    4. Mix all the way through to ensure that there is no raw runny egg left on the bottom and serve on a different plate or on toast.


    Take care handling the mug or bowl as it will be hot from microwaving.
