Delicious Spongy Castella Cake!


    This is a very good fool-proof recipe that anyone can make! It only requires the simplest ingredients in your fridge right now and it comes out very lovely and nice. Lovely with a cold glass of milk or some coffee!

    • 85g All-purpose flour
    • 3 eggs
    • 110g caster sugar
    • 2Ts honey
    • 2Ts milk


    1. Put eggs and sugar and beat with electric mixer until the size doubles.
    2. Add milk and honey and mix until you get a smooth mixture.
    3. Sift the flour and slowly mix .
    4. Put the mixture in the square tin and bake in preheated (180 degrees) oven for 20 minutes.
    5. Lower the heat to 160 degrees and bake for 20 more minutes.
    6. Take it out, let it cool and enjoy!


    Top Tip: It says to bake in a square tin in the recipe, but if you want bite-size castella cake, try baking it in little cupcake papers!
