If you want to bake the traditional Purim pastries but don't have the time to make the pastry from scratch, this is a quick solution with ready-made shortcrust pastry.

Ingredients
Makes: 20 pieces
50g honey
50g nuts
50g dried apricots
50g raisins
50g dried figs
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
2 ready-to-bake shortcrust pastry
1 egg, beaten

Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
Pulse the honey, nuts, apricots, raisins and figs in the blender just until finely chopped but not paste-like.
Roll out the shortcrust pastry and cut out circles using a drinking glass. Place a tablespoon or a teaspoon (depending on the size of the glass) of filling in the centre of each circle. Fold over on three sides to form a triangle. Seal with your fingertips and brush the edges with the beaten egg.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.
