Apples with honey

    A simple yet nice way to serve apples with honey at Rosh Hashanah.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • apples, several large ones and 1 smaller apple
    • honey to taste

    1. Wash and dry the apples. Cut off the top of the smaller apple and remove the core with an apple corer but make sure not to cut through all the way through so the bottom stays intact.
    2. Use a grapefruit spoon or a regular teaspoon to carefully hollow out the apple until just a thick outer wall remains.
    3. Place the carved apple in the centre of a serving plate and fill it with honey. Quarter, core and slice the other apples. Arrange the slices around the carved apple and serve immediately.
