Bircher muesli with kefir

    Oats are soaked in kefir overnight until creamy, then topped with fresh fruits and honey for an easy make-ahead breakfast of bircher muesli. Experiment with the ratio of oats to kefir until you find what works for you.

    • 40g oats
    • 6 tablespoons plain kefir
    • 1/2 apple, grated
    • 4 strawberries, diced
    • 1 teaspoon honey, or to taste

    1. Combine oats and kefir in a small bowl. Cover with cling film and refrigerate until oats soak up the kefir and thicken, 8 hours to overnight.
    2. Stir apple and strawberries into the oats. Add honey to reach desired level of sweetness.
