Thai style stir fried pork

    15 min

This dish is a great introduction of herbs and spices to your little ones. It goes with most things i.e. Thai jasmine rice, rice noodles or in a wrap. Not to mention that it is super quick and easy which is perfect for a mid week dinner.

    Serves: 1

    • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
    • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    • 200g pork fillets, thinly sliced
    • 1/2 tablespoon fish sauce
    • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/2 tablespoon water
    • 1 spring onion, sliced
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min

    1. Put the coconut oil and garlic in a frying pan and fry until the garlic turns slightly golden in colour.
    2. Add the pork and stir fry until browned, about 5 minutes.
    3. Add the fish sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar and pepper.
    4. Stir until the pork turns a caramel colour and is no longer pink in the centre. Stir often as you don’t want the garlic to burn.
    5. Add the water then stir all ingredients well together.
    6. Transfer onto a serving plate. Scatter the spring onion and sesame seeds on top.

Put a crispy fried egg on the top for extra creaminess. If you don't like spring onion, try chopped fresh coriander instead.
