Ingredients
Makes: 30 cheese twists
250g butter
300g plain flour
250g cheese, finely grated
1 egg
For brushing
1 egg yolk
1 dash milk
coarse salt
caraway seeds
Method Prep:10min › Cook:15min › Extra time:30min › Ready in:55min
Combine the butter, flour, cheese and egg in a bowl. Knead until it holds together. Cover and chill 30 minutes in the fridge.
Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
Roll out the mixture and cut into 1cm wide strips. Place on the baking tray.
Whisk the egg yolk with a little milk and brush the strips with it. Sprinkle with coarse salt and caraway seeds. Bake until lightly browned, 10 to 15 minutes.
