Puff pastry cheese pinwheels


    These vegetarian puff pastry pinwheels are filled with cream cheese and Emmental cheese. If you need a quick and easy party nibble, you cannot go wrong with this minimalist recipe that requires only 3 ingredients.

    Serves: 24 

    • 1/2 (375g) packet ready rolled puff pastry
    • 225g cream cheese with herbs, softened
    • 170g Emmental cheese slices

    1. Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    2. Dust a work surface lightly with flour and lay out the puff pastry. Spread with a thin layer of cream cheese and cover the entire surface with Swiss cheese slices, leave a 2cm border free. Tightly roll up puff pastry like a Swiss rolll.
    3. Slice puff pastry roll into 6mm thick slices and lay flat on the prepared baking sheet cut side down.
    4. Bake in the centre of the preheated oven until lightly browned and puffed up, 15 to 20 minutes.
