Rose flavoured vinegar

    The best roses to use are old varieties with tend to have intensive fragrance. The stronger the fragrance the stronger the flavour. Make sure you are only using roses that have not been sprayed with pesticides or insecticides.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 bottle

    • 6 tablespoons fresh rose petals
    • 750ml white wine vinegar

    Method

    1. Place the rose petals in a 1L storage jar and pour over the vinegar.
    2. Cover and let sit in a sunny location such as a windowsill for 2 weeks. Strain the vinegar and fill into into a bottle. Close with a cork or a tight fitting cap and store in a cool dark location.
