Vegan fig almond balls

    These vegan Christmas sweets do not contain any extra sugar - just dried figs, almonds and a bit of booze.

    Serves: 50 

    • 500g dried figs
    • 2 tablespoons rum
    • 50g ground almonds
    • 50g chopped almonds

    1. Trim stems off the figs and chop finely in the food processor. Add rum and ground almonds. Shape walnut-sized balls and coat them with ground almonds.
    2. Let dry for 24 hours, then store in airtight containers.
