Italian seasoning

    I bet you already have these things in your cupboard. Just pop out a few of those dried herbs from your spice cabinet and knock up some great, hugely versatile Italian seasoning to put on chicken, and beef, or in stews, bakes, and bread recipes. Pre-made blend may even have lots of added salt, by mixing your can cut down on salt in your cooking.

    Makes: 1 small jar

    • 3 tablespoons dried oregano
    • 2 tablespoons dried basil
    • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
    • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic

    1. Place all the ingredients into a bowl, and mix well. Fill in an empty clean spice jar and label.
