Warm Brie and pear mini filo tarts

    Fill mini filo pastry cases with Brie cheese, fresh pear and thyme for a great canape that your guests will love.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 24 

    • 24 mini filo pastry cases (see note)
    • 120g Brie cheese, cut into 24 small chunks
    • 1 ripe pear, cut into small pieces
    • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
    • 2 tablespoons honey, or to taste

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    2. Arrange filo cases onto prepared tray. Put a piece of Brie cheese into each case. Sprinkle diced pear and a couple thyme leaves into each case and drizzle with honey.
    3. Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and mini tarts are golden, 12 to 15 minutes.

    Filo pastry cases:

    If you cannot find readymade mini filo pastry cases, you can slice filo pastry sheets into 5cm squares; press one or two pastry squares into each hole in mini muffin tins and bake with pear filling.
