Walnut date balls

    These walnut and date energy balls have no refined sugar and are easily made in bulk and frozen, meaning you have the perfect little pick-me-up when you need it.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 200g walnuts
    • 350g pitted Medjool dates
    • 75g desiccated coconut
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Method
    Prep:20min  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:1hr20min 

    1. Process walnuts, dates, coconut, sesame oil, sea salt and vanilla extract together in a food processor until combined. Roll date mixture into bite-size balls; refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.

    I've made it twice, they were so good. I lowered the salt and decided I liked it better with the listed amount. I'm a Weight Watcher and they are 6 points, sadly.     I made this recipe with coconut oil instead of sesame oil . I don’t like the flavour of sesame . I keep them in the freezer in a ziplock instead of the fridge . Good healthy snack .  -  05 Nov 2017  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
