Tahini dressing

    This creamy tahini salad dressing is easy to make and endlessly versatile. You can use it to dress a simple green salad, or use it as a sauce in your favourite wrap or to serve with falafel. Yoghurt gives it a creamier texture, which I love.

    Serves: 6 

    • 3 tablespoons plain yoghurt
    • 2 tablespoons tahini
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • salt to taste

    1. Mix together all ingredients until smooth and well incorporated. Begin stirring in warm water, about a tablespoon at a time, to achieve a drizzling consistency. Taste and add more salt or lemon juice, if desired.


    To make a vegan tahini dressing, you can use a vegan plant-based yoghurt instead of regular yogurt.
    Using warm water instead of cold or room temperature water ensures the dressing is easier to stir and doesn't solidify.

    Started out as written using Greek yogurt. After tasting it I ended up doubling the yogurt which helped. I didn't care for this at all but hubs absolutely loved it and complimented it several times so take that for what it is worth. He even made a bold statement by saying he preferred this over ranch any day. Maybe I just don't like tahini? I'm rating this a 4 because of his reaction.
