Oreo cookie crumbs are baked into the centre of a vanilla sponge cake. You can use your favourite box of cake mix for ease, or use a cake recipe to make it from scratch.

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease a 20x30cm (9x13 in) cake tin. In a large bowl, combine crushed cookies, chocolate chips, flour and butter. Set aside.
Mix cake according to method on the box. Pour half of cake batter in prepared tin. Sprinkle approximately 2/3 of the cookie mixture on top.
Pour rest of cake batter over layer of cookies. Sprinkle remainder of cookie mixture on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into centre of cake comes out clean.
To make the glaze: In a small bowl, mix icing sugar with 2 to 3 tablespoons milk. Drizzle glaze over warm cake and let cool.
For cake from scratch
Use this sponge cake recipe if you'd like to bake from scratch rather than use a box mix. The recipe uses the same size tin, so you can simply prepare the batter and then follow this recipe as stated above.
