Easter chocolate cornflake cakes

    Getting ready for easter with these chocolate cornflake cakes. Hope you enjoy making this simple recipes that kids could do as well.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 50g butter
    • 125g dark chocolate
    • 4 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 100g cornflakes
    • mini eggs to decorate (optional)

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Put the butter, dark chocolate and golden syrup into a heatproof dish and melt. You can do this in the microwave or a double boiler.
    2. Let it cool and then stir in the cornflakes. Make sure all the cornflakes are covered by the mixture.
    3. Put 12 cupcake paper cases into a baking tray. Spoon the chocolatey cornflakes into the cases evenly.
    4. Add the decorative mini eggs to the top of the cakes. Put them in the fridge to harden.

    This was a brilliant recipe, if you don’t have dark chocolate you can use milk chocolate and 1 tablespoon less of the syrup, would definitely reccomed this! (We also added edible glitter on the top-it made it look really nice🙂)  -  31 Mar 2018
