Easter chocolate cornflake cakes

    Serves: 12 

    • 50g butter
    • 125g dark chocolate
    • 4 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 100g cornflakes
    • mini eggs to decorate (optional)

    1. Put the butter, dark chocolate and golden syrup into a heatproof dish and melt. You can do this in the microwave or a double boiler.
    2. Let it cool and then stir in the cornflakes. Make sure all the cornflakes are covered by the mixture.
    3. Put 12 cupcake paper cases into a baking tray. Spoon the chocolatey cornflakes into the cases evenly.
    4. Add the decorative mini eggs to the top of the cakes. Put them in the fridge to harden.
