Chocolate rock cakes

    My yummy rock cakes are loved by all who eat them Including me Try not eating streight from the oven 😍 Enjoy! Preheat your Oven Cook at 400f or gas No 6 For 15 to 20 minutes

    • 225g self raising flour
    • 110g unsalted Butter
    • 80g caster sugar
    • 150g dark chocolate
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 dessertspoons milk


    1. Sieve the flour in a large bowl
    2. Grate in the butter to the flour coating with flour as you grate, now rub in the butter until fine crumb is achieved
    3. Now Add and mix the caster sugar into the flour
    4. Chop the choclate into little pieces as large or as small as you want and add to the mix
    5. Now add the milk and bring it together be careful not to add too much milk, You are looking for a stiff mix that will hold it's own Depending on the size of the egg determings how much milk to require
    6. Put a desertspoon of mix on to a greased baking tray
    7. Bake just above centre
    8. Cool on wire rack
    9. Make 10 cakes
